Full Sail LTD Lager 04
Apparently this is Full Sail's 4th batch of their Limited Lager Series. Full Sail's Session Lager is maybe the best lager I've had and I have had a number, a great number. And, with my serious beer commitments it's unusual for me to drink a lot of any one beer. Anyway, I've just doomed this beer so let's get to it. The bottle cap says " Lorax Trees Decimated ", cool. LTD pours out a light gold with a lush caramel and citrus hop nose. Very crisp straight caramel, with citrus herb flavors. I like this, it's a well crafted lager with nice flavor. However, I really think they over thought this. It's inferior to their Session Lager by a fair margin. Now I could knock these back all day. But why would I when I can buy a superior Lager, from the same brewery, cheaper. It does not make sense. It does not make sense.

Full Sail Sanctuary
After the total debacle that was Full Sail Bump in the Night, I wanted to try another Full Sail beer to get the suck out of my mouth. Please restore some of my faith in your brewery. Oh yeah this a Belgian Style Dubbel. It pours out copper with a weak honey, caramel and a bit o citrus nose. There's a surprising hop presence, it's quite crisp but a bit fizzy. Lots of honey and caramel flavors with a decent medium body and a pleasant bit of alcohol. It's not bad although it took a little while to warm up to then I really started to like it. A nice beer that restores a little of my faith. But it will take more than that Full Sail.

Full Sail Bump in the Night
I love Full Sail they have made great beer after great beer. This is a Cascadian Dark Ale, whatever that means. It pours out a light brown with a strong citrus herb nose, way too strong, on the nose. I think there's a touch of mocha in there somewhere. My first impression is terrible, what the hell is Full Sail doing. I'll keep trying. It stays equally bad as I try and choke this trash down. Finally I have to pour most of the bottle down the sink. I was really looking forward to another good beer from Full Sail, and this is a massive disappointment. One of the worst beers ever.

Full Sail Wassail
Full Sail has done very well by me. I loved their Session Lager and Session Black. Those were both excellent, and their Amber is good too. Hope they don't let me down. Wassail pours out a medium dark brown and has an herb, mocha and strong caramel nose. Wassail has strong herbal hop that lasts throughout. Luckily, there's also strong mocha, light spice and a decent, but still too light body. The other flavors come out more and more as you enjoy this beer. Wassail went from a not great first impression to being really good. This is a first class Winter Beer, and goes high up in the nice list. Full Sail rocks.

Full Sail Session Black Ale
Full Sail from Oregon made an amber I liked so I thought I'd check some of their other products out. The Black Ale pours out a dark brown with a fresh mocha and mild hop nose. This is one of those lighter dark beers. It has a nice smoky mocha flavor with mild hop bite. The malts are in their full glory here. This is a flavorful, but highly drinkable dark beer. I will enjoy more of these to be sure. Good any time of year. And I love the little stubby bottles.

Full Sail Amber Ale
The last of our ambers is Full Sail Amber from Oregon, our first beer from the Pacific North West. Full Sail pours out a clear amber to copper with an unusual tinge of orange. The nose is crisp with caramel and mocha and the taste reflects it. It's a slightly chocolaty caramel with crisp hop up front and a tingle throughout. Again a very flavorful amber, crisp refreshing and very balanced. I could really put these down, it's just a delight to drink. A great amber for all occasions. I really thought the Bell's would be my #2, but Full Sail is better. It just has more flavor. So of the ambers the clear #1 is Railbender followed not too far behind by Full Sail and then Bell's. A distant fourth and fifth are Red Rocket then Boont last. Boy three out of the five here are exceptional. That's pretty good. Anyway time to move on to the most recent Sam Adam's sampler.
